Rheinfelden

Visualization of a combined survey of LIDAR and sonar data at the power-plant in Rheinfelden, Germany. It combines the visualization of the processed point cloud, cross-sections and the extracted water surface. The passage of migrating fish is especially well captured.

Points are colored and represent following classes:

  • Red: river basin, captured by sonar
  • Green: ground/basin, captured by laser
  • Yellow: vegetation/structures, captured by laser
  • Orange: river side structures, captured by laser

Isar (Bad Toelz/Wolfratshausen)

Visualization of a section of river Isar in Bad Toelz and close to Wolfratshausen, Germany. River bed and water surface were captured by the measurement. Different data fields are shown on the processed point cloud.

Scalar splats are shaded by using a normal vector and scene lighting to gain a more surface-like view.
Illustration of simple interactive tools: distance measure between points (shown by lines and numbers).
Scalar splats (points) are scaled and colored by measured reflectance.
